Joe was a very keen man, very savy and as a teen myself I worked for him thru OCETA,1977-1980 as a stage hand,Don wiltshire was there and Mike Tucci and mike Cathcart, and Frank Dardano to name a few and bob Brown really looked like Jesus in the part,I remember we went to the Landmark Theater and brought back part of the stage to use for Salt City Playhouse, joe was avery in depth and involved man.

He was a boxer! Carried on........

When I had my first lead in a youth theatre TAFY production, Joe discovered that I didn't know my lines and was "fooling around with the other kids--he took me aside and told me I had about two hours to learn my lines or I was out---I did--but more importantly, that set a work ethic that has surved to this day--I am a music teacher producing many concerts and plays each year.... I thoroughly understand the importance of hard work, commitment and sticking to a job until I get it done and done...

Those like myself who Joe gave our "start", are eternally grateful. Your contributions to the local theater scene will be sadly missed. My deep condolences. "Break A Leg Above." R.I.P. Joe Lotito (1927-2009).

I'll always remember summer stock at the Playhouse and Joe. May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

Pat and Family,
I am very sorry to hear about your loss, and it is with a warm heart that I send my deepest sympathies.

I remember during "Dickens", nervously waiting in the wings during Joe's Jacob Marley number and thinking..."gosh, how does he sing and walk with all of those chains?" I used to mouth the words along with him...but I probably didn't do him justice.

Lately, I 've been thinking how much of an impact Salt City has had on my life. I had discovered...

Dear Pat, Joe and Mary and family,

I am sending a huge bear hug to you all, the same size hug Papa Joe always gave me whenever I saw him. His heart was infinite and everlasting; he took everyone into it and embraced them with love, nurturing, wisdom, guidance, opportunity, humor, and selfless time and energy!!

I truly began my "second life" at Salt City when I first took an acting workshop with Valerie Conti and loved it. Papa Joe took me aside afterwards and asked if...
