We met when we were 14 or 15 years old. We used to walk up Lynn Avenue in Hampton Bays, NY, and went to the chocolate shop, Spiro's, for homemade Greek ice cream. Bill went on to theological school in Middletown, and I went to Bellevue School of Nursing. We always kept in touch, and I visited him in 1952 in Rome. He was at the American Theological School.
