So many good times to remember and share...I met Joseph when he befriended my older brother. I was in 5th grade!

Carrieann, l expect this is a time for you to remember your Uncle Joe as itis onefor me to remember a very dear friend. I met Joseph for the first time when I was about 8th grade. He was at the house with my brother, Andrew, Michael Riviello, Ronald Reale and Edward Collins. So, I consider him a life-long friend. he visited myfamily home often whether in Newark or Summit. And, after I retired, he came to Ocean City to see me. Thank you for sending that box of memorabilia as you settled...

Joe and I were colleagues at School Within a School and University High for over 10 years. We were both on the history faculty. I developed a great appreciation for his teaching skills and dedication to his students.

This is a loss, and I am sorry to hear about Joe's passing.

Deacon Joe, I had many conversations with you the other times you were at Gates Manor. I had not seen you this time you stayed but, when I was away and came back to find out you had passed I was so upset. I will always remember all the talks we had about Everything,especially about God and religion. You will always have a Big piece of my heart ,you helped me when I really needed it and your sincerity was always real and guides me still. I know you are in the palm of God's hand now, not sick...

I have known Mr. Joe Malanga from 1974-1978 he was my history teacher at SWAS, before it became University High School. He was an exceptional teacher. Blessing to his family. Thanking God for the time he allowed him with us.

It is with great sorrow that I have learned of Joe's passing. He was a great mentor and friend. My condolences to his family.

I have known Joseph since I was in the fifth grade when he became good friends with my brother, Andrew. Together with Michael Reviello, Ed Collins, Ronald Reale, they made a group of teenagers who met frequently into their post high school years. They had many things in common and discussed topics of interest, listened to classical music and enjoyed each others company. Over the years, the group expanded to include Fr. Herb Tillyer, Walter Genuario, Frank Miktus.
