Not sure what to say?

We will miss our beloved cousin, Louise, and our thoughts are with you and your family.

I was a young banker at Bankers Trust when Joe was the chief credit officer. I had several opportunities to participate in significant credit/business meetings with Joe. He was a very good businessman as well as a very good man. Our condolences, David and Suzanne Hadley

My sincere condolences to you and your family. Like so many I had the privilege to work with Joe for many years at BT, and consider him to have been a true mentor and great role model. Even now I often think 'what would Joe have done here?' His enduring strengths were his impish humour, shining integrity and respect for others - which never failed him, even under the most stressful of times. He will indeed be missed by many.

David Godfrey BT '77 - '92.

My sympathy to you and the whole family.

I worked closely with Joe for many years in the Retail Banking Dept and in the Credit Card. He was a great boss and a great guy, and he taught us all quite a lot.

My deepest sympathy to the family of this very good man. Not only a great banker, but a great softball player in Central Park at short-stop in the early 70's-those were the good times.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this time of grief.
Remembering Jerry today and always.
Love,
Anne and John

I'm terribly saddened by Joe's passing... I worked at BT from the late 1970s thru its sale to DB and was privileged to work closely with Joe.
He was a true mentor, team leader and a pleasure to work with... He taught me and others a great deal, especially the most important lesson that one shouldn't come to work if one wasn't going to enjoy it. He had an impact on many...

Please accept my condolences and my deepest sympathy for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I had the honor and the privilege to work with Joe during my time in the credit department at Bankers Trust, from 1992 to 1999. Joe was a born leader, a consummate professional and a man of unimpeachable integrity. He had a way of making everyone in the credit department (all of whom he knew by name) feel valued and respected, and he in turn engendered everyone's respect...

I worked for many years with Joe, and he was the best boss I had during my years with Bankers Trust. Many fond memories. My deepest sympathy to the entire family.
