Joan- so sorry to hear about Joe's passing. My boys have such great memories of him and Don-hiking, and of course, the bear. Hope you are doing alright, and hope to see you soon

I had the pleasure of taking defensive tactics from him. i never served under him ,but his positive reputation was outstanding .I also met him as chief of Clinton Pd when I a member of the Div. of Criminal Justice. I also served In the Newark PD. I will always remember him as CHIEF.

Heartfelt blessings to the family of a wonderful man during this time. Can't think of Joe without smiling, thanks for your kindness and great example.

Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Dear Joan and family,

I just learned of Joe's passing thanks to one of our Trial cast members. Reva and I loved Joe, as did all of us who had the privelege of bringing a past time to life. Joe was the cast's entertainer, and his enthusiasm for the history infected all of us. He always talked about his children and grandchildren, and it was heartwarming to see much he loved all of you. It was our honor to have known him.

God bless you all.

Joan and family,
Our sincere sympathies for your loss. Joe was a big part of Alan's family and included me also. He would stop by to say Hello and just talk about scouts and old times. He welcomed me into the family and made me feel loved. We included him as a groomsman at our wedding because he knew Alan from boyhood. From then on, he considered me family too. I will miss his smile.
