Joseph P. Martin

When I think of Joe Martin, I think "salt of the earth." People like Joe are rare on the planet. I remember arriving at the UN refugee camp in Dadaab, Kenya and hearing Joe´s name repeated over and over again. His colleagues were seeking him out for advice. I went to look for him and found him standing in the midst of a group of people who were living in the most difficult conditions, calmly and respectfully speaking to them through a caring gaze.
