Not sure what to say?

I have fond memories of Professor Matar.

Every time I open his textbook (still my top desk reference), I remember his kindness, patience and enthusiasm teaching my reliability class in spring 1982. He always had a smile and word of encouragement for all. His teaching was a benefit to many.

My sincere condolences to the family of a great teacher and person.

He will be missed dearly. I send my love and condolences to all the Matar clan and am embracing them now. Love, Denise, Dave, Maya and Zizi

Leslie Woods-Speed and her entire family are so saddened to hear of Joe's passing.
He and Jean were such an intregal part of my childhood on Crestwood Dr. they are both missed.
I remember Joe's awesome stuffed grape leaves, just one of his many talents.
He was so kind to me - even during my teen years!
I vividly remember the last time I saw Joe and Jean. We meet at a restaurant in Mequon and reminised for about three hours.
He touched my life and I will always...
