Our Thoughts and prayers are with the McHenry Family at this difficult time. I have known Joe since I was a little boy on Disston Street in Mayfair.
Joe was a great man always helping out people in the neighborhood always had time to check with my brother and I to make sure all was ok with my family.

Joe lived everyday the philosophy that one person can make a difference. Words can not be found to describe Joe. He truly was a man who was loved by everyone. We are blessed to have been a part of Joe's life and a part of your large and wonderful family. He will always be in our thoughts.

I worked with Joe many years ago and always thought of him as one of the best, most sincere individuals I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Whenever I ran into him around the compound he spoke so proudly of his family. Please accept my condolences and prayers.

Joe and I worked together for 25 years at DLA. He always had a big smile, hearty handshake or warm hug when he met up with you. He was one of the kindest people I've ever met in my lifetime. He often spoke of his family and with great pride, he loved you all very dearly. The world could use more people like Joe McHenry, his kindness and compassion were unmatched. I am sincerely sorry at the passing of Joe and prayer your family gets through this time and cherishes your of a great husband, dad...

Joe's sudden passing has left me, like so my of his friends and admirers, numb. Personally I had the pleasure of being his colleague at DLA and in the past 25 years I have met many nice people. Joe was not one of them, he was extraordinarily nice. He stood apart with his genuine caring and concern. He would make you feel special every time you dealt with him. I am sure he made everyone feel that way because to Joe, everyone was special. We would joke that we wanted to live next door to Joe so...

Joe was one of the finest men I've had the honor to know and love. He adored his family and always made me and countless others feel like part of his family. Joe looked for ways to help everyone he met, as that was his nature. He's gone way too soon but the kindness, compassion and love of life he had will live on through his wonderful family and those who loved him most.
