He was the best leader for The Heights. I remember the dances/dinners my husband Peter and I attended over the years, the new gym, the students serving at the events, and the splendor of the surroundings. He is greatly missed.

When I think of The Heights, I think of Mr. McPherson. He was such a wonderful leader, and my son William and I send our deepest condolences again. Mrs. Joyce Field

Joe McPherson was such a wonderful Head Master at The Heights. He helped mold so many students, including my son William, who respected him in so many ways.

Heartfelt sympathy goes to Mr. McPherson's family in this time of great sorrow. He was such a wonderful leader at The Heights when our son William was a student there.

Joe was a pillar of the community in Montgomery county and beyond. He helped many families with many children in countless ways- as a father figure to thousands of girls and boys, as a teacher and headmaster for decades, as an intellectual giving talks and serving as a living example of virtue and christian values, inspiring many young (and old) men and women to high aspirations and accomplishments.
