Dear Uncle Joe, my dad's little brother, has been a constant presence in my life and will continue to be. His sense of family and good humor are an example to everyone. I share "Uncle Joe" stories with my grandchildren who marvel at his WWII perilous adventures.

Uncle Joe was one person I always admired and looked up to . his courageous and gallant service in WW2 is something I always talk to my WW2 enthusiasts about
. The compassion and kindness in my week with Uncle Joe and Aunt Audrey in Goleta when my closest friend (my mother) was dying will stay with me until it is my time to come home to the lord ..Proud and blessed to be his nephew
