I met Joe in 3rd grade so can only imagine the stories I can tell you. We literally grew up together and remained close friends for 50+ years. He was a key building block in my life. Joe had an innocence about him that will NEVER fade in my heart. My children have always called him uncle Joe. They are in their 30s now with children of their own. Because of Joe I will never say the word "oil" the same. I say it in my day to day life just as he did, it could just be a southern way of pronouncing the word. But Everytime I get to say it I smile and giggle a little. Joe has many phrases such as "you´ve really out done yourself" that make me smile and giggle. It´s so warming and sweet and just so him.
