I would often tell him one day Im gonna swim like you. He would tell me to just take my time and practice. Good advice. Joe and I talked about everything from A to Z and in these talks I realized an inherent goodness in him. I will certainly miss his goodness. Rest peacefully, Joe. To the family of Joe. I remember Joe, Julia and their parents from long ago when families spent time in a community house in Long Branch, NJ.
Each family had their own bedroom and share one of three bathrooms on the floor. There was a huge kitchen with tables small pantries, stoves and refridgerators. Those are days that will stay with us as long as we live.
I later met Joe as a teacher with the Newark Public Schools. As I was a teacher and met him at one meeting or another.

It was my fortune to work with Joe at the Academy of Vocational Careers (Montgomery Academy). Joe was outstanding as a teacher and as a person.
My condolences to Joe's wife, Linda, and to Joe's family.
