Reichel Funeral Home - Northampton Obituary

Joseph Frank Meyers, 73 of Slatington, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. Born on September 22, 1951, in Allentown, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary (Marth) Meyers. Joseph and his wife, Cindy (Andrews) celebrated 46 years of marriage together. He was the proprietor of Joseph F. Meyers Roofing and Siding for 45 years. He honorably served our country in the US Army. He enjoyed fishing, loved music and playing his guitar. He had a passion for riding his motorcycle on the country roads throughout Pennsylvania. His greatest joy in life came from being a loving, devoted husband, father, and grandfather.


His Survivors: In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by his son, Justin and companion, Amanda; daughter, Lindsay Brown and husband Eric; grandchildren, Tristan Meyers, Harper Brown; sister, Diana Long and husband Phil; sister-in-law, Judith Meyers; several nieces, nephews and his loving grand dogs. Brother, Ronald and a nephew Ronald Jr. preceded Joseph in death.


Services: family and friends may call on Friday, January 31st from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private.


Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to an animal charity of one’s choice in loving memory of Joseph.

A good man gone too soon. Joe always made me feel welcome and loved, and I know so many others felt that way, too. I’m so sorry. All my love to Cindy, Lindsay, and Justin.
