Not sure what to say?

To The Micari Family, The Officer and Members of the Bucci-McTague Post 1530 were sadden to hear of the passing of our Life member Joe. Our prayers are with you at this time of sorrow. Yours For The Legion. Bob Mineau Commander

Sharleen & Family:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Uncle Joey was like a Dad to Dan and for me, he would say that I was his favorite niece. We all know better than that all his nieces were his favorite. He was tough but fair. Uncle Joey liked coming to the house since I always fed him Italian food, we know he liked to eat. We will miss Uncle Joey.

I am so very sorry about your Dad. What an amazing guy. He was very impressive in all that he accomplished. I remember him so well, even though it was years and years ago that I last saw him. It is great that your family made it all there safely. My prayers are with you all.

I send my condolences to you and your family. I always enjoyed my conversations with Joe during the time that we did business together. He was a good man. I know you will miss him but let the good memories linger. It’s a difficult time but know that you’re not alone and our thoughts go out to you and Gina. BIG HUG!!!

The eulogy is really touching and the obit is impressive. I'm really sad you lost your dad. It sounds like he had a full and fulfilling life. And, even though he couldn't see you all the time when he lived so far away, I'm convinced he can watch over you and is with your family now. (He'll certainly live on in stories if there are lots more like the electricity one in the eulogy!). :)

Sorry to hear about your Dad. He was a great man. I always think of him as a great cook. He always was willing to help everyone. He was the one who taught me about all the "fish" that Italians eat on Christmas Eve.

When a man lives ninety years, there is much that can be said. Certainly this is the case for Joseph Micare.

During the course of his nine decades, Joe held many titles: son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, brother-in-law, husband, father, grandfather, and to some of those we could add the prefixes step and great. Born during the last year of World War I, a boy during the Great Depression, Joe’s life could be a Frank Capra film about all that an American of immigrant parents could...

We enjoyed Joe's company, conversations and rememberances of Italy, as well as sampling many good bottles of wine at the New Mobilians Wine Tasting gatherings.

Judge Micare was a fair judge and respected by all who worked with him - both directly and indirectly.
He will be missed by many.
