Joe was a dear friend and classmate of my father's. Dad used to look forward to his lunch meetings with Joe and the other "Antiquated Architects." Moreover, Joe's commitment and perseverance on behalf of his school was an example to us all of how grace and humility can be a force for change.
May his memory be eternal.

Joe was one of the nicest men I have ever known, and a sort of mentor to me at CUA - we taught together for so many years, and his kind and gentle manner with our students, his caring, were inspirations to me. I'll miss this man; I think of him every time I pass through the Miller Room at school.
