Not sure what to say?

To the family of Joseph Misto, It is heart-breaking to learn of the passing of one of the leaders of our town of Westerly. Joe's obituary tells his story beautifully. He held positions that brought him in touch with many people, and his thoughtful, caring, and kind personality fit the bill perfectly. My thanks to him for his many years of unselfish giving. It is wonderful to learn that he enjoyed some years of retirement. Sincere condolences to Gail, family, and friends who were closely...

I am presently at my winter home in Florida and will not be able to attend his services.

Misto Family, Sorry to learn of the passing of your dad and grandfather. We both graduated from WHS I was a year or so behind him. He was a great salesman for Westerly Jewelry very kind and polite. I still have the silverware set he sold me. I recall him telling me if i bought the set now I would get a $5.00 discount. He talked me into buy the set, I found out later that he paid out of his pocket the $5.00 discount. Our friendship continued Joe was the Coach of Pucci Little league Baseball...

I am deeply saddened to hear of Joe´s passing. He was one of the kindest and most down-to-earth people I´ve had the privilege to know. Joe helped me get my start with the ladder company, and I´ll always be grateful for his support and encouragement. I truly enjoyed our conversations over the years and will always remember his honesty and warmth. He will be greatly missed. Godspeed, Joe.

Also - I found this photo that I thought I'd share. I think this is from 1977. In case you don't recognize or remember everyone: the back row is your dad (of course), Robert Ayers, Chris Sullivan, Jeff Faulise, Mike Gouvin, Lonny Brown and coach Sam Terranova. middle row: Dave (or Kevin) Corina, Roland Parilla, Ted Marzilli, Kevin Terranova, coach Garafola front row: I can't remember the name of the kid on the left but that's Jimmy Pratt on the right. Wonderful memories. Ted.

My SINCERE CONDOLENCES to Holly and Jay for your loss .RIP JOE you were always a nice man.

Hi Holly and Jay, I'm sad to hear of your dad's passing. As I mentioned to Holly the last time I saw her, I still think of your dad as my Little League baseball coach. The kids who played for Pucci Carpet were lucky to have him. I remember him as a super friendly and positive person, and a well-known person (and personality) around town. Sincere condolences, Ted (although I was always Teddy to him) Marzilli.
