Dr. Joseph R. Mitchell Jr.

Dr Mitchell was the first OB/GYN physician I worked for and was a very kind and knowledgeable physician. He explained everything very clearly and with a lot of patience to help me learn and help his patients understand what he was doing and why. He was the best and most caring physician I ever worked with and his death is a great loss.

I was his goddaughter and will miss him dearly. He connected me to my mother in a very special way.

In 1978 through 1982, I was a patient of Drs Emi and Joseph. Dr. Emi Yamishiro delivered my firstborn in 1980. I have never forgotten either of them. My condolences to their family and friends.

I am sorry that the world has lost a fine human, big thinker, holistic practitioner of the art of medicine, and good all-around person like Joe Mitchell. I knew him well as a member of the MHG staff, respected his patient care acumen, his selfless service to office on the staff, sense of humor, sense of honor, and unrelenting honesty.
