Not sure what to say?

Joe was a singular sensation as a columnist and on the copy desk at the Miami News. It was a privilege to work with and know him.

Who could forget Jomo? His smile and spirit always boosted the Miami News news desk, and I was blessed to be a colleague.

Dearest Noreen, Joe is a legend who has taken his very bright light into the next room. I send my best to you. No further words necessary. With affection, DeWitt Smith

Noreen, so sorry to hear about Joe. He was one of the best copy editors at Ma Herald. And, he was a handful as you know...Never was one to mince words...we had many a battle, but always loved and respected each other.

Dear Noreen,
I was so sad to see Joe's obituary in the Herald today. He was such a funny, down to earth "nuts and bolts" guy from Pittsburgh. We sort of lost touch after the Miami News reunion, but I find myself quoting him from time to time. Please let me know when you are planning his memorial service.
Love to you and your family.
Lesley and JP Faber

We love you Joe.We have nothing but great memories of you.My tennis and football partner.Rest in peace. You will be with the gambling gods.God Bless.

Noreen, I was truly sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He was always one of my favorite cousins. I wish we could have seen more of each other over the last few decades, but time and distance always interfered. I will always remember him as a fun loving guy, and will cherish the times we did spend together. Please express my condolences to Sam and Eve, and know that I will keep Joe and his family in my prayers.
