Not sure what to say?

I am very saddened by the loss of Joe. I had the pleasure and honor of having flown with Joe at Northwest Airlines. He was a great person, a great pilot and a truly enjoyable person to be around. He will be missed. Prayers and thoughts to all of his family.

Joe was my DC9 simulator partner for my initial training in the DC9 and he was doing his Captain upgrade. I was a new hire at NWA and Joe made me feel right at home. He was especially helpful to me with the DC9 because of his vast experience in that airplane. Not only was I learning the airplane, I was also learning how to fit in at NWA and Joe made both really easy for me. Thanks Joe for all you did for me, and to your family please let me express my sincere condolences for your loss.

I met Joe in flight school at Webb AFB, TX. We roomed together in Apple Valley, CA during our initial F-4 Phantom II checkout. We both served in the same fighter squadron at Cam Ranh Bay, South Vietnam. So sorry to hear of his passing from Arlene. Those of us who served in combat together had a special bond. it was very difficult to hear we lost a great friend.
