I'm sorry for the loss of Joe Montana Sr. I did appreciate spending time with him and he letting me fish for bass in the pond at his home.

I met Joe Sr. at Granzella’s Olives in Williams, California, probably around 2010. I drove from Eureka to meet him. I know that he was a bit shocked when I asked for his autograph (he said, “You do know that I’m Joe’s dad?”), but it truly was an honor to meet Joe’s father, best friend and mentor. I still have his autograph. RIP, Mr. Montana.

We had the pleasure of having Joe Sr. a client of ours in Alaska. Think the year was 1985. Had a great time. He signed our guest book " fishing and the experience was like watching my son win the super bowl. Sure enjoyed him and we and the crew had alot of fun! Great memories!!!!

Joe, I'm so sorry to read that your Mom and Dad are both gone. i worked with both of them from 1956 thru 1959. You were just a little guy back then and your father was so proud of you. I thought of your father this evening while watching Super Bowl LIII and decided to search the internet for his name. I'm so sorry for your loss. Your parents were good people. Gerry, Pittsburgh, PA.
