I was saddened to learn of Boomer's recent passing. When I walked into WPTR in 1968 and began my broadcast career...there was no bigger star on radio than Boom Boom Branigan.His legacy in the business is secure. You will be missed my friend

I'll never forget this line that Boom Boom used to Say on the Radio. "This is WPTR, Broadcasting 50,000

I'm so saddened to read of your dad's passing. It was so many years ago you & I met at one of those great Midway Firehall dances and I being your date to that groovy Shaker Junior Prom.

To me, your dad was and will always be the best ever local on and off air dj. No one will even come close to ever taking Boom Boom's place. Take care...

Dear Cousins

I am sadden to hear that Uncle Joey has passed away. I will always remember the enjoyable visits, coversations,and of course the laughs we had over years. Sorry they were so few and far between.

Dawn, Rick, Keeley, and Joe, my heart goes out to you at this sad time. Your Father was one of a kind. The proof of his great character shined through all his children. Funny, loving, and caring is how I would describe all four of you. I believe those traits came from your Mom and Dad. God Bless you.

On my very first day as a Salesman working at WPTR in April of 1964, i walked into the Control Room and met "The Boomer". He greeted me cordially and said: " Okay Kid...do you like Rock and Roll? I answered, I don't know?...this is the first time i've heard it! I was new to all of it
He politely told me that if i didn't like the music in three weeks time, that's i'd never make it in Radio! That was nearly 47 years ago and i'm still in the business! And now the Lord gets to hear...
