MYERS, Joseph B., Jr. - Of Grand Blanc, age 93, died Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Briarwood Manor. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Saturday, May 5, 2007 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jim Combs officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society, Atlas Baptist Church or Boy Scouts of America. Visitation 2-8PM Thursday, 10AM-1PM and 3-8PM Friday and 10AM Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Joseph was born in Goodrich, Michigan on September 6, 1913, the son of the late Joseph B. Myers Sr. and Erma Farrar. His family was one of the first settlers of Atlas Township. On August 4, 1937 Joseph married Helen L. Hartman in Grand Blanc. He belonged to the Goodrich Masons, Farm Bureau Member of Michigan and the Milk Producers Association. Joseph attended Atlas Baptist Church. He loved deer hunting, fishing, birds and enjoyed fixing watches. Surviving are children, Rosalyn Mechem, Nancy Myers, Stephen and wife Connie Myers, Stuart and wife Maureen Myers; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald and wife Dee Myers; many nieces and nephews.
