I knew one day I would learn of Joe Nic's passing. He lived a long, good life. I had the good fortune to be his secretary in the 1970s when he was senior vice president of URS Blume in the Sheraton Palace Hotel. It's hard to find a better person or man. I was at times the recipient of Jo's sandwiches for him when he made other plans. They were delicious. He gave me gold scissors I believe from Italy which I still have and use.
