My name's Dwight Baker and, I currently,live in Bryan, Tx 90 miles north of Houston. I was born with a birth defect called Spina Bifida. I met joe back in the early 80's after I completed a 90 mile walk from Bryan, Tx to Houston in '82. You would not believe how my life has changed the past 6 months. I never knew you teaching me the knuckle ball would change my life so much. I am honored to have articles written abouth how " Joe Niekros knuckle ball lives through the arm of a 12 yr. old girl." I am glad to be that girl.

Dear Natalie, Lance, Nancy and the whole Niekro family,
They say that life is a circle and I suppose that is so. I received a newspaper article, from a good friend of mine, telling about a twelve year old girl, who was perfecting the knuckle ball because of her interest in Joe Niekro. I read the article and then answered him with this story I am now sharing with you.
We were from Houston, Texas and had season tickets, for years, to the Astros games, where we watched Joe Niekro...
