Not sure what to say?

Joey,a great American, dispenser of good will, perennial optimist, happy go lucky friend of us all.We miss him very much. His cheery manner was infectious. We knew him since childhood on Main Street,in Cohoes.
We visited with him on every trip we made up north to be reinvigorated with his spirit.God Bless and Keep him forever.

I remember when you owned the gas station and you alway gave us kids lolly pops. When you married my Aunt Madaline you brought so much joy and happiness to her life, and I thank you very deeply for that. You were always good to me and my family. You were a terrific Uncle you will be loved and greatly missed.

Love,
Marion, Bob, Bobby & Jennifer

Jerry,Marie,Nancy and Diane,
The two things that stand out in my memory of your Dad is the beautiful twinkle in his eyes and the fun times we had when I would spend Friday nights at your home in Cohoes. Aunt Agnes and I would sit and watch the Red Skelton Show on television along with Uncle Joe who would always have this large bowl of ice cream to eat, could never understand how a person could eat that much ice cream and never get fat!
My deepest sympathy to you on the loss of...

jerry,
god bless you, and your family
keep the faith

We were very sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Joe. He was a wonderful man and had a great sense of humor. Kathy & Walt Dovhan

I remember growing up on Main Street and passing by your gas station from time to time. You always had a smile on your face, and that made me smile. Thank you for that.

Jerry, Marie, Nancy and Diane, I was so sad to learn of Uncle Joe's passing. He was a wonderful uncle to me and will be missed. I'm so glad that I stopped by to see him when I was back in New York three years ago. You are all in my prayers.

Through the 1970's, I lived a block away from Nocella's gas station....at the corner of George and Congress Streets. I was a customer at times; he was very helpful. However, I remember most the bounce in his steps, the friendly wave to all who passed by....including the people who waited for and returned home on the CDTA bus at his corner. He was a great ambassador for the neighborhood!

My condolences to the family. May he rest in peace!
