Mr. Obenberger was passionate about the law and engage anyone in thoughtful debate about nearly any subject. I was just his 'computer guy' but it was always a pleasure to work for him and I could tell that he was highly valued by his clients and well respected in his industry. I'll miss him and his remarkably interesting conversations. He was a Captain in the Army and patriot through and through. He cared. That is increasingly rare in the legal industry.

To the Obenberger Family: I recently heard of Joe's passing and am so sorry to hear this. Joe and I worked together in the 80's at Travelers. He was my first attorney assignment. As a beginner legal secretary, he was so kind and patient with me. I loved his fiery passion for life and our conversations about history. We remained friends over the years and eventually lost touch when I moved to Texas. I will always remember him fondly. Susan Summers, his former secretary.

Mary Ann, deepest condolences to you and your family. I am shocked at his passing. While we were often adversaries, I had great respect for Joe, and enjoyed our long conversations in the later years.
