Not sure what to say?

10 years later, I read this message about a lively and life loving computer hardware engineer that worked for me at Computer Curriculum so long ago. I have many fond memories of Joseph and some really entertaining stories where he played a central role. I am so sorry for his family's loss...he lives on in my own memory, still full of energy and fun.

Joseph was a friend of my now deceased (06/04/2015) husband Don Ruth here in California. I was just sent this 2011 obituary by a friend and was saddened to hear that he passed away so long ago. He had called me back in 2009/2010 to check in on Don, who at that time was in nursing home after suffering multiple strokes. Sally and Penny,
I just received the news about Joe's passing and I am so sorry for your loss. Know that he's no longer in pain and in God's arms now. May you take comfort in knowing he was a great friend. He will be dearly missed.

I was so saddened to hear of your loss. I have always wondered how Joe was doing in California and heard he was doing very well - even crossing paths with Sally Field in his lifetime. What a great person Joe was. I'm an old East Sider and went to school with Joe and will always remember him ever so kindly. My deepest sympathy and great empathy. May God carry you all through this very difficult time.

Sara,

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Dear Sara, this is so rough. I know you are glad that Joe is at peace, and that angels are watching over you. No-one can take his place in your heart; his smile will be yours forever.

To the Opeka family, we are sorry for your loss. I'll always rememberhim from when he worked at Mc Cabes store on Robinson st and of course growing up with him ,Penny and there father who we called steamboat. Sputy and Tina Ellsworth
