I am so sorry for the loss of Joe.

So often we hear that a person was from the “old neighborhood” but in the case of Joe, it was so thoroughly true. We grew up a block away from one another. My wife grew up three blocks away. We attended grammar school, junior high school, and high school together. Joe’s father and uncle had gone through those exact schools with my mother and they had all remained friends into adulthood.
