Saddened to learn that my old friend Joe Paquette has passed away. Even more sad to learn that he was living nearby in Gladwynne, PA, and I didn't know. At The Pennsylvania Society meeting in New York last December I asked a group of mutual friends if they knew how Joe was doing and, after huddling, they told me he was living in Florida. Joe and I were both engineers, about the same age, and he led PECO when I moved to Philadelphia in 1991 to lead the University City Science Center. He...

Joe was a great guy - knew him and Ellin through mutual friends Diana and Wally Barto. And knew him as a former long time Peco employee. Loved the article in the Inquirer about his historic shore house now owned by daughter. My condolences to the family - Joe had a terrific long life - lucky him.
