Not sure what to say?

My family and I just learned of Joe's passing. Joe was a good friend of my late husband Bobby Sakowski. RIP Joe; Mary, Lynn, Joanne, Davey and Andy, you are in our prayers.

Joe was the Academy Commandant of MPOC 15, Agawam. As I type, classmates are sharing our fondest memories of his dry, hilarious, sense of humor and the everlasting training lessons and future friendship he showed us all. Rest in Peace, and Semper Fi.

Today Captain Joseph Parylak was laid to rest and I was honored to be a part of his final farewell. Captain Joe was a consummate professional who dedicated himself to his career at the Springfield Police Department, but he was also a true and loyal friend. I was fortunate enough to have Joe as a friend and we enjoyed many fun adventures that are now great memories. Rest in peace Joe, we will always keep your memory alive...

To the family of Joe Parylak. Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Joe. I didn't know Joe at all outside of work and I wish I did. My relation with Joe was strictly in the realm of civilian support at 130. I've heard many grumblings about Joe's harsh professional and personal demeanor but Joe and I always got along and the one thing I really knew about him was that if you treat him square he'd treat you square. He was a fair man. Take care, Joe, nice knowing ya. ~Dan...

Joe and my Brother Mickey Finn were cadets together. He was always at my house on Beaumont Street with my brother. He loved to eat at our house and my Italian Mom was the best cook. I felt he was a part of my family and I have very fond memories of him being around. He would spend Holidays at our house and later at my Sisters house with all of us. We even got him to go on a cruise with us. Lol. He was very private and spent a lot of time alone. But I always told him that it wasn´t a Holiday...

So sad to here this news. Condolences to your Family and Friends. Joe was a very personable, gracious guy. We went to Myrtle St Jr. High together. We had good memories then High School. As we all get older you drift apart but ran into one another at a local I.O. function a Church picnic I.C.C. Joe like to buy the Polish Food and our Fish Frys. Nice guy will be missed by everyone that he touched. Rest in peace Joe!

To The Friends, Colleagues, and Family of Captain Parylak: Captain Parylak was the drill instructor in my 1983 academy at the Springfield PD. He was tough to say the least - administering tests in the push up position and pushing everyone to their limits. One night I brought a prisoner in to be booked and he couldn't do enough to assist with the arrest. Once you got to know him, he was one of those people that touched your life in a positive way. Fast forward, I would see him walking after...

Dziadzi Joe, you were humble, warm and caring. You always showed unrelenting love and inspiration. You not only brought positivity but you also brightened the day with your generosity in your kind and thoughtful ways. Life will not be the same without you, but we always feel so close to you through the love that is in our hearts. Love you from Brandon, Ethan, Tiffany, Kenny. Rest in peace Dziadzi.

RIP Captain. Was an honor working with you
