My condolences to your family. My dad, Clarence "Jimmy" James, was friends with Joe, as kids in Somerville. He always spoke so highly of Joe, and has wonderful memories of the times he spent with Blondie, Herbie and Joe. Dad visited Joe a few years back and lost touch with him after that, wanting to visit with him again, but couldn't find the address! As a young girl, I remember going to the Teele Square Fire Station to wave to Joe. In fact, one day, Dad and I stopped at the Fire Station...
