Not sure what to say?

With sincere sympathy to the Picchi Family. The Marching Millions made all of us very proud to be part of Montour High School. Memory eternal.

Wayne and Barb
Class of 1966

We extend our condolences to Mary and all the Picchi family. It was such a pleasure and privilege having associated with Joe through Montour Band Parents, West Hills Symphony Band Board of Directors, and in keeping those band instruments in good repair. He was such an outstanding man, musician, teacher, and "leader of the Bands". Our loss here on earth is Heaven's gain.

I only learned yesterday of Mr Picchi’s passing. I would like to extend my sympathy to his entire family. If we are lucky, we have a few teachers who leave a lasting impression and make a difference in our lives. Mr Picchi is definitely one of those to me. As a member of the marching band, I remember him as a man deserving of our respect and even a little fear. He was angry one minute, forgiving and joking with us the next. I remember how he challenged us with music beyond our level and...

Dad, It's been 16 days since you left us. I am still saddened by the void you have left. More than I thought I would be. I listened to the first West Hills concert today and it was as if I was there playing with you and the Symphony once again. I loved it. Thanks to the one who put it on a CD to enjoy. You touched so many lives, I am so proud of you. You touched mine also in a most wonderful way. I will miss that. I love you and will love you forever. Hope to see you again someday. I love...

To the Picchi Family,

Your loss is great and is shared by the "millions." Please accept our deepest sympathy.

We echo the thoughts of those before us. Participating in the band was the best part of high school. Mr. Picchi made it that way. Part of him will live on in us always.

We the Schlaegle family Ray,Duddie,Raelynn,Judy,Heidi, and Russ would like extend to you our deepest sympathy to the Picchi family.Mr Picchi was an important part of many very fond memories for all of us and for so many more. Thanks for all you did and gave to all of us.

I will always remember Mr. Picchi's music listening classes and how he approached the subject matter with all the seriousness that he applied to his more conventional teachings. Mr. Picchi was able to maintain his interest in us, and our interest in him, all the while knowing our principal motivation was filling out our schedules with subjects other than algebra! Mr. Picchi's legacy lives on in his student's who have followed in his footsteps and now teach a new generation of students to...

I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Picchi's passing. I did not have the pleasure of learning under him in the Marching Millions band, but word of mouth and hearing how well the band sounded made me well aware of what a fantastic teacher and musician he was. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family at this most difficult time.
