Joseph C. Pijanowski

Fond memories of Mr. Pij up and down Berkeley Place. Pat and I once went around trying to sell empty milk cartons; we were six or so. Great capitalists we were not. Neighbors gave us money and patted us on our way. Not so, Mr. Pij. He gave us a warm smile and said, "why would anyone want to buy an empty milk carton." He was right then and he was right now. The perfect life lesson... never forgotten.

I first met your dad in the early seventies when he bought storm windows from me. He always impressed me as being a very upbeat person with a wonderfully positive attitude and crazy sense of humor. Many years later I had the privilege to meet the rest of the family. Even though I haven't seen Joe in many years, I kept in touch with him thru the family. Joe...it has been a great trip - thanks for the memories.
