"But the greatest of these is love." Deacon Pickney served at the Metropolitan Baptist Church with such "love" in Christ Jesus that he was a blessing to a multitude of people. We thank God to have witnessed it as he extended it to our family and those who attended the church. You and family will be in our prayers.

We pray for the "peace that surpasses all understanding" to our cherished sisters Mary Pinckney and Corine Burke and our beloved Pinckney and Burke families. Our dear brother Joe touched us all personally with a spirit of love, goodness and service to his country, Metropolitan Baptist Church, The Ushers Ministry, The Deacon Board, The Masons and all who know him. He is now resting in the arms of Jesus. A loving testamony for an earthly life well spent!
