“A new day has come”, that was my thought as I walked out of my house on Friday morning (March 6). There was a fresh snowfall on the ground, sun shining bright in the blue sky, birds singing in the trees. “How ironic” was my next thought. Ironic… because my father had passed away just the day before. It seemed to me like the world should stop, at least until I was ready to catch up, but life was going on before me and all around me. I guess we are never ready to lose our dads or anyone we...

I know he was ready to go and is in a much better place. I had only met him a couple of times but know how much family love there is and he will be missed.

Florence, We are so sad to hear of Joe's passing. You both were such good friends and neighbors to Thelma, we could never thank you enough for all you did for her. We think of you often and you are in our thoughts and prayers. May God be with you during these difficult days ahead. Love you and hope to see you soon.

I know my Dad is looking down at us from the Pearly Gates and saying "Whew, I'm glad that's over!" And with his irish tenor voice, he'll be singing with the angels. I'll miss him greatly.
