Not sure what to say?

Well Dad i am finally leaving my thoughts. You passed a year ago, and now I can acknowledge your passing. First off, thank you for sharing your passion for the training of others. It meant so much to have you pin my Deputy badge on in 1983, your love of celebrating the 4th of July, teaching me how to shoot, and many more. If I did not have Covid, I would have been at the funeral. So just know I will always remember the good times and I did love you B23 ❤

I was lucky enough to see Joe last year! He was a sweetheart of a guy and would do anything for anyone if they needed help. They don't make em like this man anymore. Hope to see you some day my friend!

I remember Joe as a man who had a great devotion to the fire service. His devotion to the service probably influenced his son and grandson to become firefighters. I am a retired fire captain with Cal Fire and we went on many incidents together and we always had a great working relationship.

Emmet Monahan, San Francisco

Chief joe Quadt not only loved his fire department and was a great friend and fellow officer but he loved the SanFrancisco Fire Department alot seeing working fires in the Big City telling stories and asking me questions about the City.Joe and I worked on the Arson team and we both learned alot over the years,I will miss Big JOE.

At dinner one year Joe asked me the places for the utensils..I told him. from then on I was Emily as in Emily Post..I loved it..always delightful and fun Joe was well respected and loved by all..Emily and I will miss him always. Thanks for being such an awesome friend. Emily aka Allene Ball

My experiences with Joe were all top of the line. He was fire dept all the way. And He was always was happy to see you and share good feelings.

God rest you

It was a great pleasure and experience to work with Joe in the Hillsborough Fire Department. He was a great leader, a gentleman, and could get anyone laughing at a moments notice. I will always remember when he gave a speech in an auditorium without a script, and got a standing ovation from a few hundred people. We were lucky to have him in the HFD. May he Rest In Peace.

Joe Quadt was a supporter and friend of the Peninsula Fire Buff Club and specifically to Dave and me for the 23 years we did canteen service at fire incidents. He came to every Annual Dinner put on by the Buffs, was the life of the party, and shared his love of the fire service with us. The Hillsborough Fire Department is no more but Joe's spirit lives on.
