Not sure what to say?

Our deepest simpathies and sincere condolences to all the Rabinowitz family. We heard only recently of José's passing. We all loved him very much in México. Celso and Norma Mosqueira

To all of the Rabinowitz family,
I am so sad to have just heard the news of Jose's death. I had corresponded with him after he was a patient at Penn several years ago and he shared his memoirs with me, which I still have. He and his wife, Josy, were so kind to have myself and my parents over for a lovely Mexican dinner one evening. My father and Jose spent the evening speaking Spanish and talking about Mexico and Latin culture while we ate delicious food and enjoyed each other's...

We are here today to honor our father, Dr. Joseph (Jose) Rabinowitz
To do so we must start by Thanking you, our friends and family, for the love, respect and support you give and have given to our father, mother and us. It is deeply appreciated.
As we honor and remember our father, the word that stands out in my mind is Unique. My father is (and I won’t refer to him in the past tense. I want him and his contributions to live on forever) My father is a unique man combining a...

Albert Einstein once said, “We do not grow old no matter how long we live…we never cease to stand like curious children before the great mystery into which we were born.” At the age of 85 I would like to think that my grandfather never grew old. Though he is the brightest man I’ve ever known, he possessed wonderful childlike qualities and never lost his youth. He was always silly and clever and absolutely bursting with life. He had an energy that could electrify a room and a sweet tooth that...

Introduction

Thank you all for coming. As you know, we are here today to pay our respects and celebrate the life of my father, Jose Rabinowitz. On the day I was born, when my Dad heard that he had a son, he said to my Mom, “Now I have someone to say Kaddish for me.” I am particularly proud to be able to honor my Dad by leading the service today and saying Kaddish for him.

Among my fondest memories is the way my Dad would explain the evolution and...

Did you ever taste my Dad’s sangria, with its complex layers of flavor; apricot nectar, anise liquor, dry red wine, bitters, orange juice, served from a gaudy gold fountain with flashing colored lights; hazy from the fog of the dry ice that carbonated it? Surely, if you were there, you have tasted his guacamole, creamy and savory, with chunks of onions, celery and tomato, served for all occasions; his signature appetizer decades before it became available in gourmet grocery stores. Dad’s...

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...

Dear Josie & Family, Rickie and I want to extend our deepest sympathy to all of you. I can't stop thinking of all the fun we used to have when you would come to my Mom & Dad's house. The jokes that Joe would tell us and the laughter were never ending.
