Joseph Ramsey

RAMSEY, Joseph Entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 23, 2005, Joseph Julius Ramsey, widower of Mary DuBois Ramsey, of Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Joseph J. Ramsey are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 28, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. Ramsey was born on March 29, 1926, in Charleston, SC a son of Sarah Strickland and Willie Lee Ramsey. He attended Charleston area schools and worked as a mechanic at Ft. Sumter Chevrolet for many years and then at the K Mart Service Center on Savannah Hwy. until he retired. Mr. Ramsey was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he faithfully served as Head Usher at the eight o'clock Mass for many years. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Ramsey is survived by a sister: Ruth L. Cox of Moulton, AL: a sister in law: Ruth Ramsey of Charleston as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
