I have fond memories of playing Chinese checkers at his Miller house, as well as visiting him at his houses in Morningside, Little Long Lake, and Gull Lake. This obituary is a wonderful tribute to Joe. Although I did not have the pleasure of spending a great deal of time with him, whenever I did see him at family gatherings, I was always impressed. He was kind, interesting, and a fine gentleman.
