Eleanor told us the news of Joe's passing with a mixture of sadness & relief that he did not linger. As we speculated that Joe & Jerry must be together, trading stories & discussing baseball, she seemed almost jealous that she wasn't with them.

We remember Joe as a warm, gracious man with a wonderful sense of humor. Over the years the stories from Eleanor painted a much fuller picture, so we felt like we knew him much better than we actually did. How...
