Dear Ritchie Family, I'm sorry I didn't find out about Joe's passing until very recently. Please accept my most sincere condolences. I started doing business with CRT way back when their offices were in the basement of The CBOT and that relationship continued all the way up to when Joe sold the business. I still recall the first meeting I ever had with Joe. He couldn't have been nicer or more humble. From that day forward, every time I ran into him, he'd stop and say hi. He always had a...

I was blessed to work at Joe Ritchie´s great company, CRT. I loved going to work everyday because it had an excellent atmosphere due to his Christian leadership. He was a generous boss, sharing the profits in generous bonuses and perks like free breakfast and lunch. I´ll never forget meeting him at the Lippizon Horse Show, one of the many events special held. The Christmas parties at Chicago museums are still the fanciest I´ve ever attended. God really blessed us with Joe Ritchie. My...

Joe was the kindest most caring human that I have ever met . His love for the underdogs of life who just needed a chance was exemplary. I always remember how he came in and rescued a steel community, although that effort failed his passion and vision has transformed my life forever . My condolences to the family.

Sharon and family, I was very blessed to, after nine interviews, become a part of CRT in the spring of 1986. As I mentioned to a fellow CRT alum' earlier this evening, Joe's incredible company taught me to think outside-the-box, and to apply macro-thinking and perspective to all that I did then, and all that I do now. Joe's initiatives and successes are without equal, and an inspiration to all who knew him. Respectfully, Patrick McDonough

I think I was on my 16th interview at CRT when I first met Joe Ritchie. In 1987 that was about the average number of interviews to get a treasured place in the CRT family. I was a fresh Computer Science graduate with barely any practical experience programming. Joe saw in me what I had yet to realize and put me with a team of people that allowed me to learn and grow into my career. Joe trusted I could "Take a message to Garcia" working for CRT.

Joe hired me in 1988 at CRT. It was the best company I ever worked for. He empowered his employees to do great things. His philosophy of encouraging team players made it a great place to work. I was blessed to be part of it. Joe changed my life and my life trajectory.
Thanks Joe
