Not sure what to say?

Mary Ann -- We're thinking about you and missing Uncle Joe. I was very touched by the eulogy his niece gave. Thank you for sharing it. What an interesting and full life Joe lived. I hope we can see you this summer. You are always welcome in Beijing!

Mr. Robinson was one of my favorite teachers at PLHS, and I wasn't even in his class. What does that say about this wonderful man? I'll never forget his self-depracting humor and great stories.

What a wonderful Man and Phenomenal Teacher. I was lucky enough to have him as my 11th grade teacher at Pt Loma High in 1976.. He was patient, caring, and had a wonderful sense of humor..
My prayers go out to his family and especially Alana, for the loss of your Uncle Joe...
God bless you all!!

Mary Ann:

I'm so sorry that I can't be there tomorrow for the service. I'll be thinking of you and I love you very much.

We were very saddened to hear of Joe's passing. We knew him and Mary Ann well when we lived in our cabin up on Palomar Mountain. They were always kind to us and fun to be around. Joe was especially excited about his birds and had bird houses and feeders all over the place. He loved to sit on a deck near their cabin and enjoy the view of all of SD County. He was a wonderful, interesting, kind, funny man and the world will surely miss him.

My mom and I were saddened to hear of Joe's illness and then his sudden passing. I am sure he is experiencing the joys of heaven and the rewards of a life well lived. May God pour down his blessings on all his family at this time.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Robinson's passing...He was the best teacher I ever had!!!

I'm not surprised to learn that Joe was such a popular teacher. My husband and I met him after he'd retired, and he helped initiate us into the pleasures of birding, a field in which he was expert. He was funny, kind, smart, and warm, and we'll miss him. Our condolences to his family.

Mr. Robinson was the best teacher I ever had...He took such a special interest in his students; really cared how they were doing in life, and tried to make learning fun. He visited me when I worked out at Lemon Grove Florist long after I graduated high school in 1971. He was a compassionate soul and a good friend to all who knew him. My love to his family and friends-I will miss his smile!
