ROCKWELL, Joseph - Of Flint, age 75, died Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 11AM Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Mr. Gary Turner officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Visitation 12NOON-3PM and 5PM-8PM Monday and 10AM-3PM and 5PM-8PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Joseph was born in Saginaw, MI on April 7, 1933. On January 18, 1951, he married Onalee Rutherford. Joseph served in the Army during the Korean War and was also a member of the Foreign Legion. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Surviving are wife, Onalee; Children, Kathy (James) Candy, Karen (Tim) Atkins, Joseph (Lisa); 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; Sister, Carol (Jerry) Samples; Nieces and nephews.
