My deepest sympathy condolences to the family. Remember Joe in high school. Blessings to the family.

Dr. Romeo was a great guy. He monitored my heart condition for most of my Foreign Service career. When a Mexican cardiologist told me I needed open-heart surgery, Dr. Romeo’s confirmation convinced me it was the right thing to do. His reassurances throughout the process made it a lot less stressful and I will always appreciate his easy-going professionalism. Condolences to his family.

Dr. Romeo was a wonderful compassionate human being and a valued member of Medical Services. Coincidentally, he was from the same small town my father grew up in and they graduated from the same high school. Whenever I was in the building I would make a point to stop by and pay him a visit so we could talk about Notre Dame football. My deepest condolences to his family and may he rest in peace.

Dr. Joseph Romeo was our parents' doctor, main doctor, only doctor, and friend. There was no other but Dr. Joseph Romeo.“The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.” Dr. Romeo was truly a great physician. Jim and I have known Joe and Joan since meeting them on a Baltic cruise many years ago. Over the years, we’ve enjoyed many memorable dinners and a wonderful trip to Turkey with them a few years ago.
Joe was kind and caring, devoted to his family, and to his medical practice, especially in recent years, when he had many intriguing stories to tell about dealing with medical emergencies all over the world for the State Department. We’ve lost a valued friend, and the world has lost a ...

Joe was my friend in our Potomac Coffee Club for many years . It was always a joy to sit with him and discuss our lives . He kept us aware of his work in Dept of State .
He was a joy to be with and it is with sorrow that I hear of his passing .
