Joseph Thomas Rota

I am sending sincere condolences to all of the family and friends of Mr. Joseph Rota. I did not know Mr. Rota personally, but he worked aboard the S.S. United States as did my Father, Alfred Bluhm (Chief Linotype Printer). My Father worked aboard the S.S. United States from her Maiden Voyage until my Father's death in June 1964. I never met Joe, but I almost did. Back in 2009 there was a chance I was going to travel from Edinburgh, Scotland to take hundreds of 360-degree photographs. The SSUS Conservancy put me in touch with Joe. He was lovely, shared a story about when he spent time in Edinburgh and invited me to stay at his house if I came over. Amy & Pierre we are so sorry for the loss of your Dad. You both gave him so much love, honor and respect. You brought him so much joy by sharing your lives with him and taking such good care of him.
