Not sure what to say?

Worked with him for many years in Labor & Delivery, an outstanding physician, mentor and confidant. Wisdom spiced with humor. A true gift .

I have been thinking a lot about Dr. Rota lately. A week ago yesterday I gave birth to our second child, a baby girl. Throughout my wonderful (and surprisingly trouble-free) pregnancy I could not help but think about all of the times that Dr. Rota had eased my mind with my first. I was a nervous wreck when pregnant with my son and Dr. Rota was always there to patiently let me know that things were just fine.

I still miss him so much and think about him often. It's not everyday...

Wow, A year already, in some ways it feels like yesterday. Luci, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God give you peace and help you thru each day. Loving thoughts and best wishes always.

There are so many things that I think of that remind me of Dr Rota ... and I still have his pictures of him with my boys hanging on my refrigerator ... I kiss the tip of my finger and press it against his cheek every time I look at them ...

I remember the first time I went to see him ... I was going to find out whether I was pregnant or not (back in 1984) and he was the recommended doctor in the area ... unknown to me, his wife, Luci, was the nurse who got me ready in the...

I MISS HIM !
Our paths crossed for over 50 years. We grew up in the Bronx, within streets of each other & attended the same church. Both our families moved to Dumont &, again, we lived within blocks of each other. He played stick-ball behind Grant School with the guys, including my future brother-in-law, while I & the other girls made fun & giggled. We hung around in all the same places in town as kids, but weren't really "friends".
We met again when he was a Resident at...

We miss him more than words can express.

It has been almost a year and as I look at my two beautiful daughters I cannot help but think of Dr. Rota. I used to bring him pictures of the girls each year when I would see him. I posted a picture of our two special deliveries today for Mrs. Rota. Our girls are 7 and 6 now. Time is certainly flying by. My oldest daughter was born on Father's Day and my youngest a week after my husband's birthday. I hope your family has a measure of peace in knowing that Dr. Rota touched our hearts.
