Joe was my cousin, who I finally got to meet in 1985 when he took a trip out to San Diego. Joe was already a police officer and he coerced me into testing for the Sheriff's Office out here. 32+ years later I retired from that agency. I am forever thankful he coerced (encouraged) me to do so. This was before cell phones and we sadly lost touch with one another. I have thought of him often and am so very grateful to him. May the good Lord be loving on him this very moment. RIP my cousin.
