Dear Joe , John, Christopher , Kirsten and Marie Rose I´ve been thinking of you since learning of Joes passing. I´m saddened by the loss you are feeling and I share in the feelings of sorrow. My sorrow is lightened by memories of good times that began in childhood and lasted through the teen years to adulthood. We had the good times. I worked with Joe. He was an upstate guy and I was a downstate guy and I think we learned a lot from each other. I always respected his intelligence, especially on highly technical issues, but it was also a broad based intelligence, that showed his wide range of curiosity. Most importantly, Joe was always a straight shooter, someone you could depend on. May he rest in peace.

I worked with Joe as a fellow Chief. He was recognized as a truly intelligent individual and mentor. I was fortunate to learn so much from him about the job but more so about life. I feel blessed to have had him my life.

Joe was a good friend who was well-met and extremely intelligent. We had a lot of adventures as teenagers and at LeMoyne. I have fond memories of our time together.
