My father, the late Robert Louis, was a fellow member of the Beram vets group with Mr. Sawan. At my dad's wake 4 years ago , Mr. Sawan marched in with a few other Beram vets and they did a vets salute for my dad. Mr. Sawan wasn't feeling well and had to sit down. I said to myself, wow this man came all the way to Quincy to honor my dad, and he wasn't feeling well. My family will always remember that incredible gesture.. Uncle Joe, you have always been the life of the party! My fondest memories from childhood included time spent with you and Auntie Louise. It never mattered the time of day or the weather, being surprised by your last-minute visits to go for clams, roast beef or ice cream at Caste Island, I loved hearing the car horn blaring in the driveway! I will miss your mischievous smile and laughter. You are now with Auntie Louise as well as your parents and brothers. Rest in Peace, Uncle Joe. xoxox
