Not sure what to say?

Patty,
Losing a loved one is always difficult. I know you and your dad had a very special bond that you will always treasure. He and you could joke, call each other names, laugh and share tears. Those are memories that you will forever charish. My prayers to you, Tim, Kevin, and all of your family.

Patty,

You, your brothers and family are all in our prayers. Your father was an improtant part of your lives and I know that he will be greatly missed by all.

May you find a little comfort in knowing that many people are holding you all in their hearts and in prayer.

Love ya, Debbie & Ken

I had the opportunity to meet Joe Scanlon when he came to Sonoma County to be apart of Kevin’s promotion to sergeant. Kevin, who has chosen the same career path as his father, obviously made his father very proud. Joe was one stand up guy and it is reflected in his son. There was definitely a mutual admiration there. I know that I will never forget his smile.

My sympathies to the family for their loss. Joe Scanlon will be missed but never forgotten.

The Dohertys.

I'll never forget hearing Joe's stories and sharing a drink at Kevin's. Condolences to all Joe's family.

The world will have one less smile, one less laugh, and one less caring humanitarian without you Joe. It will never be the same. My memories span many years. Being Papa Joe to my children, being a great neighbor and friend. Everyday was a new and fun experience with you in it. We shared so many experiences camping, everyday was TGIF in the front yard, the Verona St. fishing, drinking, and BS association, and who will ever forget "Blue Biyou", the tape the kids made that played over and over...

Joe was always good for a barrel full of laughs. When I was in high school Joe invited me on to the USS Boxer which he served on. That was an experience I will never forget. You are missed by all.

Chad

I will always remember the fun times growing up next door to Joe. Disneyland, where he bought my Brother & I every kind of junk food made, the 4th of July campsite, & listening to all of his great stories while hanging out in the front yard! We love & miss you Papa Joe!

We wish to express our sincere sympathy and to pray that God will help you through this sad time.

A great man with a wonderful family, who touched many lives, of which I am fortunate to have been one.
May God bless this family.
